Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. When there is chronic muscle tension or injury, there are usually adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) in muscles, tendons, and ligaments. These adhesions can block circulation and cause pain, limit movement, and cause inflammation. Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down these adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement.

Integrative Massage

A blend of the above modalities and more. There are many, many styles of massage most of which share the related goals of achieving and maintaining good physical condition and providing the client with a sense of well-being. Integration massage means I will draw upon techniques from each of these modalities and others to best suit your unique situation. The best of both worlds-this is your maintenance massage.

Swedish Massage

The most common therapeutic type of massage designed to promote relaxation, improve circulation, increase oxygen flow, release toxins from the muscles, relieve muscle tension and reduce stress, both physical and emotional. Ligaments and tendons are stretched, keeping them pliable and supple. It also soothes the nervous system and is highly recommended as regular maintenance for stress management. This type of bodywork can be experienced in a lighter or stronger style depending on individual preference. You will definitely find yourself floating in a sea of bliss after your session!

Sports Massage

A form of bodywork geared toward participants in athletics. Utilizes specific massage techniques to prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in optimal condition and to help athletes recover from workouts and injuries.

Hot Stone Therapy

$105 - $145

Ahh… the effects of heated stones go straight to the heart with warmth as soothing as a mother’s embrace. Hot Stone Therapy is a complete body, mind and soul treatment. Warmed basalt river-bed stones glide effortlessly across the body, providing soothing effleurage, toxin-clearing pressure and energy balancing. Within minutes, the client reaches a state of relaxation and the healing release continues long after they leave the table.

Physiologically, the chemical reaction of blood and lymph exchange is accelerated with the use of hot stones. When heat is applied to the body, it pulls blood to the area. When blood is pulled to an area, it moves through the heart and lungs to be oxygenated. This allows the therapist to work deeper, to realign muscle fiber and to facilitate relaxation of that muscle fiber.

Hot Stone Therapy takes you to another level. It’s like opening a window, allowing fresh air to enter. With the stones, you are opening a window to the soul. Feel your stress melt away and experience total bliss.

Raindrop Therapy

$110

Raindrop Therapy is an ancient healing method combining the art of aromatherapy, using pure therapeutic grade essential oils in a specific order, along with specialized massage techniques. This technique is designed to bring the body into balance, harmony and alignment in a non-invasive way. It also stimulates all the body systems on a physical and emotionally level, and aids in detoxification, balancing energy and promoting emotional health.

Here are some of the possible benefits of Raindrop Therapy:

Balance and Re-align the Energy Centers of the Body – The combination of techniques brings electrical and structural alignment to the body. The essential oil blend of Valor helps the body align and is often referred to as “chiropractor in the bottle”.

Re-aligns the Spine in a Non-manipulative Manner – Microbes along the spine contribute to deformities and can be the cause of spinal diseases such as scoliosis. The oils of oregano, marjoram, thyme and basil have anti-viral and/or anti-bacterial properties.

Reduce Stress and Anxiety – Not only can the oils enhance positive emotions such as joy and happiness, but they can also help us release negative emotions that are subconsciously stored on a cellular level.

Reduces Inflammation in the Body – Three known, natural anti-inflammatory oils, wintergreen, thyme and peppermint, are used in this technique.

Relax Muscles – Muscles that are sore, spastic or stressed will also benefit. Basil, wintergreen, marjoram, cypress and peppermint essential oils help with all the common muscle conditions.

Relieve Pain – A study in 2001 confirmed that the existence of infectious microorganisms near the spine causes pain and inflammation.

Create a Hostile Environment for Viruses and Bacteria Along the Spine – It is a known fact that microbes actually stay dormant and hibernate along the spinal column until our immune system weakens and they are activated.

Improve Circulation – The essential oils of cypress, marjoram and peppermint all have properties that increase circulation and/or act as a circulatory stimulant.

Improve Immune System Functions – Thyme and oregano essential oils are known to support the immune system. Also, the body will be releasing toxins and eliminating viruses and bacteria which ultimately strengthen the immune system and your overall health.

Emotional Well Being and Release – Essential oils cross the blood-brain barrier and effect the limbic system where emotions are stored and controlled.

Help Detox the Body Systems – The oils being high in phenols cleanse cellular receptor sites and enhance the lymphatic system detox of the body.

Reflexology

60 Minutes $95

Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands, or ears. Beyond the feel-good effects of the treatment, the practice and purpose go deeper than the skin and muscles by taking specific reflex points on the feet, hands and ears to induce a healing response in corresponding organs and areas of the body.

Here are some of the possible benefits of the treatment:

• Cleanses the body of toxins
• Boosts the immune system
• Increases circulation
• Promotes healing
• Balances energy

The therapist may concentrate on specific areas to alleviate ailments (if you have sinus trouble, she’ll focus on your toes) or work on the whole foot with the aim of strengthening every system in the body.

Reflexology treatments are extremely relaxing and allows the recipient to achieve the benefits of massage without removing their clothes.
